Holiday Open House
As part of the Festival of Lights on Saturday, November 30, the Rockland Historical Society invites you to a Holiday Open House from 10 am to 2 pm, at the Historical Society on the lower level of the Rockland Public Library. Come see the Christmas lights and the Christmas tree donated by Maritime Energy and decorated with maritime ornaments – sailboats, lobster boats, lobster buoys, seashells, garlands of tiny nautical flags spelling “Merry Christmas,” and a lobster on top. Come enjoy delicious homemade cookies and hot chocolate.
The society’s many historical books will make wonderful gifts. Author John Bird will be signing his new history, Rockland, Maine: Rise and Renewal; and Ben Perry will be selling some of his most popular whimseys and his book of whimseys, titled Lime City Humor.
